I don’t know about you, but I’ve pretty much had it with winter!  So, I’ve decided that going forward, I’m only going to think positive, spring thoughts!  You know…things like daffodils, budding trees, and firing up my grill!  To get myself in the spirit, I stopped by my local Pier 1 store today!

It was stocked full of outdoor entertaining beautifulness!  Everything is so bright and colorful this season!  I’m totally loving it!   Even their iconic Papasan has been updated with gorgeous new prints this spring –there’s even an outdoor one, a double outdoor and swingasan!  And, the outdoor furniture is gorgeous this season!  LOVE IT!   And, it’s perfect for outdoor or indoor use!   Just by adding one new piece, you can really update your outdoor space.

This summer, we’ll have a new patio behind our new addition that we’re building on our house.  I can’t stop thinking about decorating all of the new spaces — indoors and outdoors!  I also can’t stop thinking about firing up our grill and inviting our friends and family over!  I love outdoor entertaining!  Pier 1 has so many gorgeous serving pieces that I can use!

I also signed up for the Pier 1 Outdoor newsletter – I’m always looking for inspiration! They are also having some Pier 1 Tweetups — Dallas: March 22nd, Atlanta: April 5th and NYC: April 20th.   Make sure you check them out!

March 20th is the first day of spring!  I’m definitely ready…how about you?  What are some of the things you are looking forward to?

I get a “Spring” in my step for this change of the season. I love the ideas of Spring…new possibilities. One of my favorite things, is, decorating my front door and window box. Beautiful wreath, crisp colored flowers and organza ribbon are a few of my favorite things! The “transformation” is always the Saturday after St. Patrick’s Day. So, this weekend will be my “ode to Spring”. I’m going Victorian, with a color scheme of purple, green and blue. It’s my “Spring Thing!”
